Wholesale International Voice
Bilateral termination across 240 destinations
VOLTA operates one of Europe's most actively managed wholesale voice estates, switching international minutes between more than eight hundred licensed carrier partners. Traffic enters our softswitch clusters in Frankfurt, London, Riga, Dubai, Singapore and Ashburn, where a routing engine recomputes least-cost and best-quality tables every sixty seconds against live answer-seizure ratio, average call duration, post-dial delay and mean opinion score telemetry. Interconnects are contracted bilaterally, settled monthly and supported by real-time credit control, so counterparties always know their exposure. Because we terminate on direct operator relationships rather than opaque resale chains, calls carry fewer transit hops, cleaner audio and predictable delivery behaviour on mobile networks. Commercial teams receive per-prefix rate sheets twice daily, and our carrier relations desk provisions evaluation trunks within twenty-four hours of an executed non-disclosure agreement, with no committed volume required during testing.

Premium Voice Routes
Direct operator paths with contractual quality floors
Premium routing is a separate product at VOLTA, not a marketing label applied to standard traffic. Each premium destination is served by a direct or single-hop operator agreement, isolated on dedicated trunk groups so that retail-grade traffic never competes with it for capacity. We publish a contractual quality floor per prefix covering answer-seizure ratio, post-dial delay, mean opinion score and calling-line identity delivery, and our monitoring platform places synthetic test calls continuously from probes inside the destination country to verify that the floor holds in practice. When a route degrades, traffic shifts automatically to the next qualified path before customers notice, and the incident is published to your portal with root cause. Premium routes suit conversational commerce, contact centres, financial notifications and any application where a failed connection carries measurable revenue consequences rather than mere inconvenience.

A-Z Termination
Complete global coverage on one interconnect
A single VOLTA interconnect gives you complete A-Z coverage: every country code, every mobile and fixed prefix, delivered under one contract, one rate sheet and one invoice. Our route management team maintains layered vendor stacks per destination so that each prefix has at least three qualified paths, ranked by quality band rather than price alone. Customers choose the band they want per destination — platinum, gold or standard — and the routing engine enforces that choice call by call, refusing to silently downgrade traffic when margins tighten. Rate changes are notified with the industry-standard seven-day window and delivered by API, portal and email simultaneously. Volume commitments are optional; pricing tiers reflect genuine traffic profile rather than negotiation stamina. Dispute resolution runs through a dedicated settlement team that reconciles CDR discrepancies within five working days on both sides of the interconnect.

CLI Routing
Guaranteed calling-line identity delivery
Calling-line identity determines whether a call is answered, and VOLTA treats its integrity as an engineering problem rather than a best-effort courtesy. Our CLI-guaranteed product passes the originating number transparently to the terminating operator, preserving national and international presentation formats, honouring privacy indicators and applying number normalisation that satisfies each regulator's technical annex. We continuously validate delivery with in-country test handsets that photograph and log the displayed identity, producing an auditable evidence trail rather than a vendor assurance. Where regulation requires local presentation, we provide compliant local identity pools with documented provenance. STIR/SHAKEN attestation is applied on North American paths and cryptographically verified on receipt. Customers see per-destination CLI delivery rates in the portal alongside answer-seizure ratio, so campaign teams can correlate presentation integrity with genuine commercial performance instead of guessing why answer rates moved.

Carrier Interconnect
SIP and TDM peering at neutral exchanges
VOLTA maintains carrier-grade interconnection points at neutral exchanges including DE-CIX Frankfurt, LINX and Telehouse London, AMS-IX Amsterdam, UAE-IX Dubai, Equinix Singapore and major North and South American facilities. Partners peer with us over SIP across private VLANs, dedicated cross-connects or protected IP transit, and legacy TDM interconnection remains available where regulation or incumbent architecture still requires it. Session border controllers at every edge enforce topology hiding, transcoding, registration policy and media anchoring, while capacity is provisioned N+2 so that maintenance never reduces the resilience of a live interconnect. New partners complete technical onboarding — IP whitelisting, codec negotiation, test call plans and NOC escalation exchange — typically within two business days. Settlement, netting and reciprocal traffic agreements are handled by a carrier relations team that understands both the commercial and the regulatory dimensions of interconnection.

Enterprise SIP Trunking
Elastic concurrency with geo-redundant registration
Enterprise SIP trunking from VOLTA replaces rigid channel bundles with elastic concurrency that expands during campaign peaks and contracts afterwards, billed on what was actually used. Trunks register against geographically separated clusters, so a data-centre outage or a maintenance window shifts sessions in under a second without dropping established calls. We support registration and static IP authentication, TLS and SRTP encryption end to end, G.711, G.729 and Opus codecs with on-net transcoding, and full E.164 number portability across thirty-eight countries. Emergency call routing is provisioned per site with validated address records for 112, 911 and national equivalents. Integration is documented for Cisco, Avaya, Mitel, Asterisk, FreeSWITCH, 3CX and Microsoft Teams Direct Routing, and our deployment engineers join the cutover call. Detailed CDRs, quality dashboards and per-site cost allocation are delivered to the customer portal.

Hosted PBX
Full business telephony without on-premise hardware
Hosted PBX moves the entire telephone system into VOLTA's carrier infrastructure, removing the maintenance burden, licensing cycles and hardware refresh costs of on-premise equipment. Every tenant receives auto-attendants, multi-level interactive voice response, hunt groups, call queues with skills-based distribution, voicemail-to-email, presence, shared line appearance, paging and configurable time-of-day routing. Administrators manage the estate through a role-based portal where extensions, devices and permissions can be provisioned in bulk or delegated to site managers. Handsets from Yealink, Poly, Snom and Fanvil auto-provision on first boot through secure redirection, while softphone and mobile clients keep remote staff on the same dial plan. Because the platform runs on our own switching estate rather than a resold service, quality issues are diagnosed on infrastructure we control and resolved by engineers who operate it, not escalated into an anonymous upstream support queue.

Cloud PBX
Distributed UCaaS for hybrid organisations
Cloud PBX is VOLTA's unified communications platform for organisations whose people are no longer in one building. Voice, video, messaging, presence and meetings share a single identity and a single dial plan, so an extension reaches a colleague whether they are at a desk, on a laptop in another country or on a mobile network. Regional media anchoring keeps audio paths short: a call between two Singapore users never traverses Europe merely because the tenant was created there. Administrators define policy centrally and delegate day-to-day changes locally, with every change recorded in an immutable audit log. Native connectors bridge Microsoft Teams and common CRM suites, enabling click-to-dial, screen pops and automatic activity logging. Capacity scales per user without renegotiation, and the same platform serves a twenty-seat professional practice and a four-thousand-seat multinational with identical resilience characteristics.

Voice APIs
Programmable call control under 40 ms
VOLTA's programmable voice layer exposes the carrier network as an API. REST endpoints and WebSocket streams let developers originate calls, bridge legs, transfer with SIP REFER, play and record media, gather DTMF, fork audio for real-time transcription and react to granular call events through signed webhooks. Control-plane latency stays below forty milliseconds because the API terminates on the same media gateways that carry the traffic, not on a middleware layer bolted onto a third-party network. Server SDKs cover Node, Python, Go, Java, PHP and .NET, each generated from a published OpenAPI specification so that they never drift from the platform. Sandbox credentials, replayable event logs and per-key rate limits make integration testing straightforward, and production keys carry granular scopes so a build server never holds permissions it does not need. Everything a developer can do in the portal is available programmatically.

Wholesale SMS
Direct operator A2P delivery at scale
VOLTA's messaging business is built on direct operator connections rather than aggregated grey routes, because application-to-person traffic delivered through unofficial channels is filtered, throttled and eventually blocked. We bind customers over SMPP or HTTPS, support long messages, concatenation, Unicode and binary payloads, and return true delivery receipts sourced from the terminating network. Sender identity registration is managed for us by in-country partners in every jurisdiction that requires it, keeping campaigns compliant with local pre-registration regimes. Throughput scales to thousands of messages per second per bind, with fair queuing that protects transactional one-time-password traffic from bulk marketing bursts. Analytics expose delivery rate, latency distribution and failure taxonomy per operator, so senders can diagnose whether a problem is content filtering, handset state or route quality. Firewall-aware routing keeps traffic on compliant paths as operator policies evolve across markets.

Virtual Numbers
Local presence in ninety markets
Virtual numbers let an organisation appear local wherever its customers are, without registering an entity or installing infrastructure in each market. VOLTA provisions geographic, national, mobile and toll-free numbers across ninety countries, delivering inbound calls to SIP, a hosted extension, a mobile handset or a webhook, with routing rules that respond to time of day, caller origin, queue depth and business calendar. Regulatory compliance is handled as part of provisioning: address evidence, local presence requirements and usage restrictions differ sharply by jurisdiction, and our numbering team maintains the documentation trail that keeps allocations valid under audit. Numbers activate in minutes where regulation allows and are tracked through a lifecycle that includes quarantine and reassignment controls to prevent misdirected calls to a previous holder. Inbound SMS capability, call recording and analytics attach to each number through the same portal and API.

Global DID
Direct inward dialling estate management
Managing thousands of direct inward dialling numbers across dozens of regulators becomes an operational discipline in itself, and VOLTA runs it as a managed service. Our DID estate covers major business centres and secondary cities on five continents, and every allocation is held in an inventory system that records regulator, source operator, compliance evidence, assigned tenant, renewal date and porting status. Bulk operations — ordering ranges, reassigning blocks after an acquisition, decommissioning a closed site — run through API or portal with change approval and full audit history. Capacity planning reports flag ranges approaching exhaustion before they affect onboarding. Where a market requires an in-country entity, our licensed partners hold the allocation under contract terms that preserve your right to port. Consolidated billing replaces dozens of small operator invoices with a single monthly statement, and cost allocation tags let finance attribute spend to business unit.

Fraud Detection
Real-time interdiction of telecom fraud
Telecom fraud is industrial in scale, and VOLTA defends the interconnect in real time rather than reconciling losses afterwards. Our detection layer scores every call attempt against behavioural models trained on our own traffic: international revenue share patterns, Wangiri callback bursts, SIM-box signatures identified through call-duration entropy and mobility analysis, traffic pumping into high-cost ranges, and account compromise indicated by sudden destination or velocity change. Suspicious traffic is throttled, challenged or blocked within the same signalling transaction, and the customer's security contact is notified with the evidence that triggered the action. Per-account spend velocity limits, destination allow-lists and time-window controls give customers direct authority over their own risk appetite. Analysts in our fraud operations team review escalations around the clock and share intelligence with industry bodies, so an attack pattern observed on one interconnect strengthens protection across the entire VOLTA estate.

Call Analytics
Quality and commercial intelligence in one view
Every call VOLTA switches produces detailed telemetry, and Call Analytics turns that exhaust into decisions. Dashboards correlate answer-seizure ratio, average call duration, post-dial delay, mean opinion score, jitter, packet loss and release cause across destination, vendor, trunk, customer and time window, so a quality conversation begins with evidence instead of anecdote. Cohort comparison shows whether a drop is destination-wide, vendor-specific or confined to one prefix, which usually identifies the responsible party within minutes. Commercial views expose margin per destination, traffic mix shift and the revenue at risk behind a degrading route. Data is available through the portal, scheduled exports and a query API, and retention covers thirteen months so year-on-year seasonality is visible. Alert rules watch any metric against static thresholds or learned baselines and deliver notifications by email, webhook or direct integration with your incident management platform.

Network Monitoring
Continuous observation from probe to invoice
VOLTA's network operations centre watches the estate continuously from three locations, following the sun so that every escalation reaches an engineer who is fully awake. Synthetic probes place scheduled test calls into destination networks from in-country vantage points, verifying audio path, calling-line identity and answer behaviour rather than merely confirming that signalling completed. Infrastructure telemetry from softswitches, session border controllers, media gateways and transport links feeds correlated alarming that suppresses noise and surfaces the single causal event behind a storm of symptoms. Customers subscribe to the elements that matter to them and receive proactive notification — frequently before their own monitoring registers a change. Planned maintenance is published with impact assessment and rollback criteria, and every incident closes with a written analysis covering timeline, cause, remediation and prevention. Availability against the 99.999 percent commitment is reported monthly without needing to be requested.

Voice Encryption
Confidential media across every hop we control
Confidentiality on a voice network requires encryption on the signalling plane, the media plane and the interconnect between them. VOLTA secures customer-facing sessions with TLS 1.3 for SIP and SRTP for media, negotiated through DTLS or SDES with cipher suites reviewed against current cryptographic guidance rather than legacy defaults. Media stays encrypted across every hop inside our estate, and where a downstream operator cannot accept secured media we make that fact explicit in the portal rather than downgrading silently. Perfect forward secrecy protects historical sessions if a key is later compromised, and certificate lifecycle is automated so expiry never becomes an outage. For regulated sectors we support customer-managed keys for stored recordings, dedicated media paths that avoid shared infrastructure, and jurisdictional pinning that keeps media within a defined region. Configuration and cryptographic posture are documented for audit and reviewed under our annual penetration testing programme.

Managed SBC
Session border control operated for you
A session border controller is the most security-critical element in a voice network and the least rewarding to operate. VOLTA runs it as a managed service on redundant clusters at the network edge, providing topology hiding, registration and dialogue policing, protocol normalisation between vendors that interpret SIP differently, transcoding, media anchoring and denial-of-service protection tuned to signalling attack patterns. Configuration is version-controlled and change-managed, with staged rollout and instant rollback, so a policy adjustment never becomes an unplanned outage. Capacity headroom is monitored against your growth curve and expanded before saturation. Customers retain visibility through dashboards exposing session counts, rejection reasons, registration health and per-peer behaviour, and can request changes through a defined workflow with engineering review. For organisations running their own SBC estate, we offer a hybrid model where our engineers manage the platform inside your data centre under an operational agreement.

Call Recording
Compliant capture, retention and retrieval
Call recording at VOLTA is designed around the obligations that make it necessary: MiFID II, PCI DSS, GDPR and sector-specific rules that govern what may be captured, where it may be stored and who may hear it. Recording is anchored in the network, so it survives handset changes, client updates and remote working without endpoint agents. Policies operate per user, queue, number or call type, with pause-and-resume that removes payment data from the recorded stream automatically when integrated with your payment flow. Storage is encrypted at rest with customer-managed keys available, pinned to a chosen jurisdiction, and governed by retention schedules that delete on expiry with a certificate of destruction. Retrieval is fast: search by participant, number, duration, tag or transcript text, then play in the browser under role-based access with every access event written to an immutable audit log for later inspection.

Global Number Portability
Migrate estates without losing a number
Number portability decides whether a migration is a routine project or a business risk, and VOLTA manages it as a discipline with dedicated porting specialists in each region. Every market has its own process, evidence requirements and regulated timescales; our team maintains that knowledge, prepares the letters of authority, validates address and account data before submission to avoid rejection, and coordinates directly with losing carriers who rarely share your enthusiasm for the schedule. Large estates are sequenced into waves with defined cutover windows, rollback criteria and parallel running, so a rejected batch never takes a business offline. Customers track every number through the portal with live status, projected completion date and rejection reasons in plain language rather than regulator shorthand. Post-port validation places test calls to each range and confirms inbound delivery, calling-line identity and emergency routing before the migration wave is formally signed off.

Telecom Consulting
Operator-grade advisory from practising engineers
VOLTA's advisory practice is staffed by engineers and commercial specialists who run a live carrier network, not by consultants who have only read about one. Engagements cover interconnect strategy and vendor rationalisation, route quality and margin optimisation, fraud exposure assessment, regulatory readiness in new markets, capacity and architecture planning, and due diligence for operators pursuing acquisition or investment. We begin with evidence: your call detail records, quality telemetry and settlement data, analysed against benchmarks drawn from a global switching estate. Findings arrive as a prioritised programme with quantified financial impact, implementation sequence and the operational changes each step requires — not as a slide deck of generic best practice. Where you want help executing, the same team stays engaged through delivery. Engagements are scoped as fixed-price assessments or retained advisory, and outputs remain your property, usable with any supplier you choose.
